We are the Schaeffer family that we know are descendants of Jacob Schaeffer who came to America about 1740 from Germany and the Province called The Rhine. This Jacob Schaeffer had five sons; Solomon, Jacob, John George and Charles. It is from John George Schaeffer, born January 10, 1763 and his son Michael Schaeffer born Feburary 9, 1804 at Warrior Run, PA that we trace our geneology.

YES! We are having another great reunion next year! It's Saturday, August 2, 2025. Come and share in the good food and bring family photos, heirlooms and some family stories to share. We begin at 12:00 noon with lunch at 1:00 pm. It will be held at Beaver Park North, 6000 W. Erie Ave., Lorain, OH 44503. John & Sue Schaeffer will be provi

The Schaeffer family's first reunion was held in Milan, Ohio, August 22, 1908 and they have had a reunion every year since except 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier reunions were held at Seneca Falls, NY, but in 1932 it was decided to move the reunion to Beaver Park, Lorain, OH where the family still meets annually. The family mee

The family meets at the Beaver Park Yacht Club where there is a luncheon followed by a family social time, and weather permitting, a Lake Erie cruise on Dr. John Schaeffer's boat the King of Hearts
